Today we once again did the downwinder from Cumbuco to Paracuru…. 4 hours straight. Some of the best waves I have ever kited in…. It is impossible to describe the feeling, surfing toeside down a big wave, looking back over your shoulder seeing the tracks from your boards cutting through the big wave rising behind you, hoping there is enough water left before the beach, and that you have positioned your kite so that it will be able to pull you away from the beachbreak…. Heavenlike.

Just when I thought it couldn’t get any more exciting, a shitload of seals and big curious turtles suddenly appeared…. The seals being BIGGER than me…. I very seldom think I am going to suffer from stroke caused by fear when kiting, but when the first Seal appeared 5 meters from my board today, I was pretty certain I would. 2 meter long Seals, coming to the surface to breath, makes a hell of a noise… Intimidating, but luckily, not very dangerous…..

As the lagoonas get more and more crowded, we are riding more and more waves…. Enjoying every second of it.

Just got delivery from Norway…. Waterskies. I think we will be the heroes of the Laguna today. Hadlow watch out….

Today one of the best kiters in the world showed up in the laguna. I usually find new school kiting pretty boring to watch…. This session was not. Sky high and very powerfull handlepasses and kiteloops, combined with the coolest kitestyle ever, made our Pro’s look like sacred ladies on the water…. Ruben kicked some serious ass….

We have downwinded from Cumbuco to Paracuru. 2 hours straight. Insane waves…. Terrified and excited at the same time. Now Bjørn is trying to get a tan on his rather paile tights….

Wind from south-east means perfect kite conditions at “Verket”. 2 very nice hours on the water Got to try my new F-One Demon board for the first time…. Kick-ass board!

Jeg har benyttet den relativt gode tiden jeg har her nede, til å rydde litt i gamle videoklipp og bilder. Til min store glede (og overaskelse) kom jeg over et klipp jeg trodde hadde forsvunnet fra mitt arkiv…

Godeste Morten Gjerstad har nemlig en sang han av og til synger i lystige lag, men han kan også være noe grådig på hvor og når og hvor lenge han framfører…

På nyttårsaften 2005 var jeg imidlertid så heldig å få festet denne heller sjeldne opptredenen til film… for inntil 1 time siden trodde jeg at denne var mistet for all framtid… det var den ikke…
