Inngangen til White Sands

Nok en dag i bil er unnagjort. Dagen startet imidlertid med et besøk i “White Sands”. Vi hadde æren av å være der mutters alene den første timen etter soloppgang, noe som i beste fall kan beskrives som spesielt. Utrolig fet plass.

Turen gikk også innom “Canyon de Chelly”, en svær, og utrolig undervurdert Canyon. Siden vi kom litt seint ble det litt dårlig med lys, men vi fikk tatt noen svært så spenstige bilder med flere sekunders lukkertid. Ble veldig HDR, men det må altså presiseres at det IKKE er HDR.

Vi har deretter kjørt fra New Mexico og inn i Arizona, der vi nå har lagt oss inn på Motell i den veldig lille byen Kayenta, i inngangen av “Monument Valley”, der morgendagen skal tilbringes, før vi setter kursen mot Grand Canyon.

Dag en av vår lille uke på Roadtrip i Amerika er ferdig. Vi har sittet 12 timer i bil og tatt oss fra Austin, Texas til Las Cruses rett nord for El Paso i New Mexico. I morgen skal vi ta en titt på en nasjonalpark som heter “White Sands”

Turen i dag har stort sett bestått i å skyte bilder ut vinduet, spise Beef Jerky, spise M&M’s og styre bilen. Alt annet går på Cruisecontroll.
