We are flying a Boeing 747-400 from Saigon to Bangkok with Air France. Very interesting entertainment system. Ended up watching “Transformers”, or half of it that is.:-)

Leaving Mui Ne

Time to go back towards Ho Chi Min…..

After a quick breakfast at the Bangkok’s North-western bus station’s food court, we are on our way to the Cambodian boarder. Great bus, in which we have been seated in the back because the women working on the bus thought we had very long legs, and would not fit anywhere else. If it wasn’t for one extremely noisy kid that has been screaming non-stop for the first hour of this ride, it would be a very pleasant one.

Hotel rooftop

Relaxing at the Hotel rooftop. Turns out there is a pool here. Ok as when it is cloudy, but extremely hot when there is a moment of clear sky. Guess we should not complain after all……

Bangkok rock scene

November 10th, 2007 Permalink

We just stumble upon a band playing rock music. Notice the couple just in front of us. Typical Bangkok-couple. He: White. Midfifties. Bold. She: Asian. Early twenties. Not bold. A sick sick world.

Nighttime Bangkok

After passing out on the bed for 3 hours, we are thrown out in the Bangkok By Night Jungle. So far, this city is much more gentle than I feared.

Taxi to Khao San

Looks like we are heading towards the badass? Backpacker district of Khao San. Since we are not really badass backpackers, I’m a little uncertain how this will end up :-)
